Employment Security Department (ESD) is one of the largest executive agencies in Washington state government, employing approximately 1,700 people. The agency delivers employment services and manages unemployment-insurance benefits. Employment Security is headquartered in Olympia on the capitol campus and serves job seekers at offices throughout Washington.
ESD employs accountants, auditors, recruiters, trainers, economic analysts, labor-market specialists, information-technology specialists and research analysts.

We are hosting a career fair for IT professionals interested in working for Paid Family and Medical Leave, or for the broader Employment Security Department. Over the next few months, we will be hiring dozens of IT professionals to support agency operations and help setup our state’s new Paid Family and Medical Leave program. Whether you are just starting out, or looking to advance your IT career, these positions will help you build experience and skills necessary for both government and private sector jobs.
