Worker Adjustment and Retraining Notification (WARN)

Find layoff and closure information on Washington State employers. Generally, the WARN Act requires companies with 100 or more employees to notify affected workers 60 days prior to closures and layoffs. Read the WARN requirements.

WARN data includes:

  • Name of the employer
  • Business location
  • Number of affected workers
  • Type (layoff or closure)
  • Effective date of layoff or closure.

The U.S. Department of Labor Employment and Training Administration has more information about WARN.

You can subscribe to WARN notifications from Employment Security and receive an email as soon as it is published on our web site.

Please reference the WARN notice database for current and past notices.

Note: Information in the database is displayed by the date Employment Security receives the WARN notice (right-hand column). You can change the results shown in each column by clicking on the column heading.
