Businesses that do not register with the state and pay their fair share of taxes gain an unfair competitive advantage over other businesses because their operating costs are lower. Not only is this unfair to honest businesses, it is unfair to workers who are denied the safety net of unemployment benefits if they lose their jobs.Report fraud
You can help level the playing field for business and workers by reporting businesses that you suspect have not registered with the state. Complete our on-line suspected fraud report form, call your local tax office, or send us an e-mail.

- Business phone number
- Business owner’s name
- Nature of business
- Number of employees
- Other locations the business may be operating
- Your contact information*
*You may choose to remain anonymous. If you provide us with your contact information, we will attempt to keep it confidential; however, your information could be released if the case goes to appeal.
