What is a customer identification number?
To help reduce identity theft, we remove your Social Security number (SSN) from most of the unemployment documents we send you. Your SSN is replaced with a customer identification number (ID).You must still use your SSN when using the Internet or calling the telecenter and Automated Claims Line.
