You could not file your weekly claim. Why not?

If you tried filing your weekly claim, but only got the address change option, it could be for one of these reasons:

  • You already filed for the week. If you attempted to file and received the “your claim has been accepted” message, you already filed for the week. If you need to make changes, you must call the TeleCenter.
  • Your claim is not current. If you did not file a claim for benefits last week, you cannot file this week.  You must reopen your claim.
  • You are an International Longshore and Warehouse Union (ILWU) member working for the Pacific Maritime Association (PMA). You must file using the Pacific Maritime Association Earnings Report.  You can obtain this form from your local dispatch.
  • Your claim expired. If it has been more than one year since you first filed your claim, your claim has expired and you must file a new claim.
