OLYMPIA – WorkSource Lewis County, located at 151 NE Hampe Way in Chehalis, will temporarily move to Centralia College, 600 Centralia College Blvd., because of flood damage.
The new office will be housed in Washington Hall, which is located on the corner of Washington Avenue and Walnut Street. It will open Monday, Dec. 10, from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
“We have been working with the local community to restore employment services as quickly as possible,” said Employment Security Commissioner Karen Lee. “I would like to extend my personal appreciation to Centralia College for welcoming us in during this critical time of need.”
WorkSource is partnership of government agencies, community colleges and non-profit organizations that offers employment and training services to job seekers and businesses.
At the center, job seekers can use computers, phones, copiers and fax machines; get work referrals and resume help; attend career workshops; and connect with other community resources. They also can access unemployment insurance and disaster unemployment benefits.
Employers can post jobs, including day jobs connected with the flood, get assistance with recruitment and layoffs, and have access to information on wages, training and tax credits.
