State disability committee seeks new members - March 13, 2006

OLYMPIA – Applications are now being accepted from Washington residents who are interested in serving on the Governor’s Committee on Disability Issues and Employment.
To be considered for an appointment to the committee, citizens must be a person with a disability, or have a family member with a disability, or be an advocate for people with disabilities, or be an employee or volunteer of another disability organization. Volunteers who are appointed will serve terms of one to three years.
The application is available in alternate formats of large print and Braille or by e-mail request.

Applications are due by July 31, and new members will be appointed by the governor in December 2006.
