Employment Security names Arteaga as Spokane-area director - March 30, 2006

OLYMPIA – Frankie Arteaga has been named the area director for the Employment Security Department in Spokane County.  

“Frankie brings a wealth of experience on the employment side of our business to the job,” said Employment Security Commissioner Karen Lee.  “She particularly impressed me with her depth of experience in workforce development, her strategic thinking skills and her abilities as a leader.” 

Employment Security provides more than $4 million in employment and training resources to Spokane County each year.  Arteaga will manage WorkSource Spokane, the area’s largest employment center, which serves some 8,000 job seekers and 1,000 businesses each year.  She will also represent the department on the Spokane Area Workforce Development Council. 

Arteaga has been with Employment Security for 18 years.  She has worked as an operations manager, a program director for dislocated worker, adult and youth programs, a contracts accountant and an employment counselor.  

Arteaga is a member of the Spokane Regional Chamber of Commerce and the Spokane Area Economic Development Council.
