A career exposition is scheduled for 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Thursday, Sept. 14, at the Seattle Central Community College Student Activity Center, located at 1701 Broadway in Seattle.
A limited number of individuals will be given a special “sneak peek” from 10 to 11 a.m., where they will have the opportunity to speak with employers before the event opens to the general public. Individuals can request a pass to this special VIP session by e-mail at diversitycareerexpo2006@comcast.net.
More than 70 businesses will participate in the hiring event, including the University of Washington, Seattle Community Colleges, Children’s Hospital, Group Health, Safeway and Fred Meyer, among others. Government job opportunities with Washington State Patrol and Department of Transportation also will be showcased.
Representatives will be recruiting for entry-level to professional-level positions in the administrative, financial, health care, retail, manufacturing and hospitality fields.
Job seekers should bring copies of their résumé and arrive prepared to interview with recruitment specialists. Admission is free.
