Study shows WorkSource works!
Updated November 19, 2014A new study of WorkSource job-search services found that, even during the Great Recession, unemployed workers who used WorkSource services tended to find work faster and earned more money than those who didn’t.
The study also investigated whether federal funding spent on the WorkSource system is a good investment. Assuming costs ranged from $100 to $500 per customer, the study calculated an average “social return on investment” (ROI) of 14 to 23 percent.
The return was most dramatic for women, ranging from 16 to 34 percent, while the return for men was 12 to 18 percent.
