Entry-level Tax Specialist 1 opportunities require a minimum of six semester or nine quarter credits of accounting. The Tax Specialist 2-level and above requires a minimum of 12 semester or 18 quarter hours of college-level accounting.

Professional accounting or auditing experience is required for the Tax Specialist 2, 3, and 4 positions. A combination of experience and education is acceptable for the degree requirement, but the accounting requirements cannot be met through substitution of experience.

Note: Only accounting courses transferable to a Washington state degree-granting institution will be accepted as equivalent college-level accounting.

Please see specific employment postings for required qualification details or contact Jennifer Kellogg, recruiter, directly.
