The opportunity
Employment Security Department's (ESD) Imaging System ensures that documents are available when and where needed. Delivery of this information enables ESD personnel to utilize accurate data in a timely manner to implement the agency’s strategic goals.
This position performs on a team that manages the operation and maintenance of ESD’s Imaging System. It serves as information consultant, customer liaison, change management/problem solving consultant, and project manager for production processes and technical enhancements involving the imaging system. This position coordinates information management needs for technical and non-technical staff agency-wide.
Major duties
- Provide expert level support to system users, technical staff, and management for the agency imaging system and supporting applications.
- Identify, troubleshoot, advise or determine course of action to resolve operational concerns related to the Imaging System, a major high-risk system with centralized, organization-wide functions.
- Plan and implement software upgrades including integration with other agency systems working collaboratively with businesses and Information Technology Services Division partners using Tax and Wage Technology (TWT) migration control policies and procedures.
- Provide technical assistance, advice and customer support to agency staff and management in the electronic or automation options/tools of the various components of the imaging system.
- Provide leadership and expert consultation for large-scale projects or the imaging system, including developing and maintaining workflow.
Required qualifications
Four years of information technology experience such as consulting, analyzing, designing, programming, installing and/or maintaining computer software applications, hardware, telecommunications, or network infrastructure equipment; directing projects; providing customer or technical support in information technology; or administering or supervising staff who performed work in any of these information technology disciplines.
Special requirements
- Two years experience performing the testing or maintenance of imaging system applications (e.g., Oracle IPM, IBM FileNet, Kofax Capture or similar imaging products) resolving software problems, system administration, installation, configuration, testing and/or customer support.
Desired qualifications
- Demonstrated knowledge and experience with Oracle IPM, IBM FileNet, Kofax Capture or similar imaging products.
- Knowledge of systems analysis, design, construction, testing and implementation principles.
- Knowledge of principles and practices of project management. Demonstrated leadership, organizational, and management skills.
- Skill in problem-solving techniques, prioritizing tasks and organizing projects.
